Over five comprehensive modules, you will explore the overarching theory of the CIA Triad, analyze the modern threat landscape of malware and social engineering, and dive into network architecture defense systems like firewalls and IDSes. You will also unlock the mathematical mechanics of cryptography that keep our global data secure, before concluding with the operational workflows of incident response and risk mitigation.

Through targeted readings, interactive video resources, applied lab assignments, and regular knowledge checks, you will develop the analytical and technical skills needed to think like a defender. Let’s get started.


Description: This module introduces the mathematical concepts underlying modern finance. Topics include time value of money, interest rates, annuities, bonds, portfolio theory, and the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM).*

Prerequisites: Basic calculus, probability, and algebra.

Assessment: Weekly quizzes (20%), midterm (30%), final exam (50%).
